MEET OUR COACHES
RULES

-
KY Track Club is a performance-based track team. All athletes advance based on their overall performance throughout the season. It is the goal of each Head Coach to ensure each athlete improves their overall performance as the season progresses.
-
Each Head Coach has the option to appoint assistant coaches, as well as designate individuals to assist him with his group of children.
-
Assistant Coaches and others help the Head Coaches on a voluntary basis.
-
Assistant Coaches and anyone who is selected to help by the Head Coaches are expected to be at practice unless other arrangements have been discussed with the designated Head Coach.
-
Road trips which require overnight stays will require parents or guardians to provide travel and stay accommodation and supervision.
-
Family members should not take athletes away from the competition site without informing the Head Coach.
-
Admission/Entrance fees to track meets will be covered for athletes whose accounts are in good standing, Head Coaches, and Assistant Coaches. All others will have to pay their own admission fee.
-
Parents should inform the Head Coach or Team Coordinator if your child will miss practice. This should be done in a timely manner (i.e., prior to practice) if at all possible.
-
Excessive absences do not benefit athletes and will not be tolerated. Athletes cannot reach optimum potential if constantly absent. Excessive is equivalent to 2 or more missed track practices per week which is based on a 4-5-day week. During a 2-3-day practice week, excessive is equivalent to 1 missed practice.
-
In the event an athlete will not be available to compete in an upcoming meet, a parent of the athlete must report the intended/anticipated absence to that athlete’s Head Coach no later than the Tuesday, prior to the scheduled date of the competition (example: if a track meet is schedule for a Saturday the parent must inform the Head Coach of the athletes’ absence no later than Tuesday).
-
Failure of a parent to inform their child’s head coach in a timely manner about an anticipated absence which results in that child being registered to compete in a track meet and that child fails to show up for the meet will result in the entry fee being added to child’s account to reimburse the track club.
-
Children whose parents remove them from the track team out of spite or because of differences in beliefs or coaching philosophies will not be permitted to return to the track club in the current or subsequent years without appealing to the KY Track Club Board of Directors. The Directors will review the appeal and make the final decision.
-
Corporate donations will be applied to the athlete’s account according to the submitted name (ie. Online Donation). In the event that no instructions are included with the corporate donation, the ONLY exempted child or children will be those of the parent who received the donation on behalf of KY Track Club.
-
Parents seeking corporate donations still must pay the fees according to the pay schedule selected until the corporate donation is received. Any questions regarding corporate donations should be addressed to the club President.
-
Payment of fees must be made online by selecting one of the options presented on our website (www.kytrackclub.org).
-
Payments must be made online only.
-
In the event that an athlete’s account is not up to date, that athlete will not be registered for any track meets until the account is brought current.
